Coronavirus Policy 09March20 (UPDATED 14 March 20)

Update 14March20

Because we are providing online instruction instead of closing entirely, students who opt out of online classes will not receive refunds.

Due to our concern for each of the students at the studio and because of preexisting conditions within our own family that would put us at additional risk, the Jonesboro School of Art will plan to temporarily close if a case of Coronavirus is reported in the Jonesboro area.

To ensure a clean and healthy studio environment, we will be providing hand sanitizer in a central location for the students in addition to continuing regular sanitation procedures in each of the classrooms and the building, as a whole.

We ask the cooperation of our students and parents in keeping the threat minimized for everyone by not bringing your student to class if they or anyone in the immediate family is ill or showing signs of illness (ex. runny nose, fever, cough, etc.) even if it appears to just be a common cold.  Makeup days will be provided in the event of a missed class.

The symptoms of the Coronavirus have not been appearing in children as strongly as adults, so it’s important to keep them away from contact with others at the studio even if their illness symptoms appear mild or dismissible.  If a student comes to class sick, they will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return to classes at the studio in this semester or any other.

In the event the studio is compelled to temporarily close, already paid tuition for that period will be applied as a credit to a future semester.  All credited tuition must be used by December 2020.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the studio at 870-316-2635.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe.
